We provide a full range of mechanical design services since we elaborate and develop: mechanical calculations, in accordance with the main national and international standards recognised and in force; assembly and detail drawings; and structural analysis, using the Finite Element Method (FEM), for any pressure device and its supporting elements.

We design each pressure component according to the main calculation codes, which vary according to the country of installation of the equipment, including VSR and VSG (Italy), CODAP (France), AD 2000 (Germany), GOST (Russia), ASME VIII Div. 1 and 2 (USA), API 620 / 650 / 660 standards (USA), PD 5500 (UK) and, within the PED directive, the European EN 13445, EN 13480, EN 12952, and EN 12953 codes.

The calculation reports can be accompanied, as required, by:

  • verification of external loads according to the WRC (Welding Research Council) bulletins
  • sizing and verification of supporting elements, lifting elements and anchoring as required, considering earthquake/wind/snow conditions

We are able to perform structural checks on equipment we design using the Finite Element Method (FEM), as well as Stress Analysis for piping.

We also prepare construction and detail drawings (2D and 3D), including accessories such as ladders and walkways, transport drawings, made on standard formats (A0 - A1 - A2 - A3 - A4) using special software.

We develop P&I for new and existing heating, refrigeration and compressed air systems as well as modular skid charts.

As to the equipment in operation, we elaborate mechanical stability verification calculations, necessary if, during the thickness measurements to monitor the state of conservation of the equipment, the thickness values of the components subject to measuring are lower than the nominal construction values for the same, so as to ensure the actual suitability of the equipment at that time in relation to the initial design and operating conditions.

Still with reference to equipment in operation, we perform cycle fatigue calculations in accordance with the main standards, aimed at estimating residual life after years of operation.
